Our story about the school performances...

On Friday, May 1, 2009, a Jackson tradition is available to all Jackson County students in grades K-12.  All area students are invited to hear two of the more than 50 performances held in locations throughout historic Downtown Jackson.  This event is free of charge thanks to the generous donations of foundations, local businesses and individuals.

Students will experience national, regional and local storytellers weave their magic throughout the morning.  Some classes take time to enjoy lunch in one of the pleasant parks downtown.  Other classes use this opportunity to see historic sites within the city.

For educators interested in giving their students this memorable experience of an ancient art, please register through the Jackson County Intermediate School District.  All groups are scheduled on a first come, first served basis.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS A MUST!
